About this project Somerset County, Maryland is one of the oldest settled areas in the country. Over the years many ghost stories, urban legends, and folklore have been passed down orally but have never been documented on video. Tales of Somerset is a planned documentary series to keep these infamous stories alive and introduce them to a new generation. Since Spring 2016, our team has researched some of the most infamous legends in the area. This series will be a docu-drama featuring historical evidence as well as re-enactment scenes. Pre-production involving research, script writing, and casting has started on the first episode. We plan to start filming in early-2017 and need funding to buy props, obtain permits, and insure accuracy through historical costumes since some scenes take place in the 19th and early-20th century. This is a non-profit venture. The episodes will be released for free online after the premiere screening and select funders receive an advanced digital download.
